Join the fun on May 3 for the First Friday Sip & Shop in Downtown Thomasville with your family and friends. The event starts at 5 pm, featuring extended shopping and dining hours, followed by a free concert from 7 to 9 pm at The Ritz Amphitheater by the Undivided Band.
Public Information Officer Tara Pearson stated that spring is an ideal time to explore Downtown Thomasville and indulge in shopping and dining with local businesses. “The pleasant weather during this season also makes it perfect to attend a live concert,” noted Pearson.
The Undivided Band is a multi-genre band based in New Orleans, Louisiana. Their musical journey started in 2021, but the band members' passion for music goes way back to their childhood. Together, they have created their unique sound called "Louisiana Weather," which sets them apart from other bands. They take pride in sharing their original music with their fans, which is a fusion of all their creative ideas and sounds.
Main Street Director Brandy Avery highlighted that the concert aspect of First Friday events is loved by everyone, and the event also aims to draw attention to shops and restaurants that have extended hours on these occasions. “Our First Friday events feature something for everyone, including shopping, dining, and great music.”
Visitors can enjoy an adult beverage from a participating business, and food trucks will be set up at The Ritz Amphitheater.
