EMERGENCY TEMPORARY LANE CLOSURE ON OLD ALBANY ROAD BETWEEN HOLLAND STEET AND HIGHLAND STREET

Utility improvements are being made by the City of Thomasville’s contractor on Old Albany Road. There will be an emergency temporary lane closure today for the contractor to safely complete their work on Old Albany Road between Holland Street and Highland Street. Work will be completed today, and flaggers will be at the site to direct traffic while the work is being completed. The City of Thomasville is implementing significant upgrades to its utility management infrastructure using smart grid technology and advanced metering infrastructure (AMI). These upgrades will provide real-time pricing, improved outage monitoring, and increased energy and water conservation for customers.
