SWINGIN' MEDALLIONS ARE BACK FOR ANNUAL STREET DANCE

Posted on

The Swingin’ Medallions are back and better than ever for this year’s Street Dance! Known world-wide as the “Party Band of the South,” the Swingin’ Medallions are a crowd favorite with their rocking tunes and high-energy shows.

Founded in the early 1960s, the Swingin’ Medallions had many chart topping hits like “Hey Hey Baby” and “Double Shot.” They’ve been touring and entertaining ever since.

“When you think ‘Street Dance,’ you think ‘Swingin’ Medallions!’” says April Norton, City of Thomasville main street director. “They’re a community favorite for a reason; they will keep you on your feet and boogying until the fireworks show begins!”

The family-friendly Street Dance will be held on Friday, April 27th from 8:30 pm-10:00 pm at the corner of Jefferson and Broad Streets in the heart of historic Downtown Thomasville. Immediately following the concert, an impressive fireworks show will begin over the stage.

Don’t miss a Rose Show and Festival tradition that will have you groovin’!

This is a free event that is open to the public and sponsored by CNS. For more information, call the Thomasville Visitors Center at 229-228-7977 or visit www.thomasvillega.com.
