The Marketing Department serves as the link between citizens, staff and the media regarding City government and the City of Thomasville's diverse service offerings and strategic initiatives.

The Marketing Department's main duties include the development and execution of marketing strategies to promote the City's various core services; fostering communications with internal and external customers; administering the City's government access channels (NextStream Local Channels 22 and 23), handling media interviews and requests; hosting community outreach and city-sponsored events such as Rose Festival and Victorian Christmas; managing social media sites; and maintaining City websites and publications.

Community Outreach

We host a variety of community outreach events from our Easter Eggstravaganza to numerous community feeding events to create and support partnerships with local organizations. This allows us to reach our entire community in order to promote education, resources, and services.

Special Events

The Marketing Department is reponsible for the execution of many events for the community including the Independence Day Fireworks, Black History Celebration, Rose Festival, and Victorian Christmas.
