Human Resources
The purpose of Human Resources is to support the organization by attracting, developing, and retaining a talented workforce; advancing talent development through training, career growth, and leadership opportunities; promoting fair and consistent employment practices; fostering a positive and inclusive workplace; and providing employees and departments with the resources, guidance, and support needed to achieve organizational goals and serve the community effectively. This includes managing payroll operations to ensure accurate and timely compensation, maintaining compliance with wage and hour laws and tax regulations, administering employee benefits and deductions, safeguarding confidential payroll data, and providing clear communication and support to employees regarding compensation and payroll-related matters.
Risk Management
The purpose of the Risk Management Department is to plan, develop and implement safety policies and procedures and training which will enable our employees to protect revenue and assets, facilitate good judgment, and to efficiently use our resources to accomplish organizational goals.
Benefits & Wellness
The purpose of the Benefits and Wellness Program is to provide comprehensive benefits, services and wellness programs to eligible employees, retirees, and their dependents that meet and anticipate their individual needs, assure the City’s competitiveness with other employers to attract and retain employees, maximize cost effectiveness and assure optimal health and productivity of the employee.
