THE APALACHICOLA SOUND SET TO PERFORM LIVE DURING FIRST FRIDAY SIP & SHOP ON APRIL 5

Posted on

The City of Thomasville’s next First Friday Sip & Shop is right around the corner. On April 5, come out and enjoy the weather while sipping and shopping and end your evening with a free concert by the Apalachicola Sound.

Starting at 5 pm, guests can shop and dine throughout Downtown Thomasville. Adults 21 and older can grab a beer or wine from participating businesses. Look for great-finds at businesses with extended shopping hours.

“Many of our Downtown businesses are open late during our First Friday events, so it’s the perfect opportunity to come out and patronize the businesses to help strengthen our economic vitality Downtown Thomasville offers when hosting a First Friday event,” said Brandy Avery, Main Street Director for the City of Thomasville.

The Apalachicola Sound is a rock-tinged country band hailing from Tallahassee, Florida. The band name comes from the first song they recorded, “Water Wars,” which is a conservationist ballad about saving the Apalachicola Bay (a bay is often referred to as a “Sound”) as well as a nod to the great music that came out of Muscle Shoals, Alabama. The songs were written on a dock out on that bay with a fishing rod in hand. You’re in for a treat with avid conservationists, southern storytellers, and swamp music galore.
