City of Thomasville Public Works department crews will be removing a tree on North Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive between Cairo Road and Payne Street. The work is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, March 3 and Wednesday, March 4, 2026, from approximately 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
There will be a temporary road closure on North Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive between Cairo Road and Payne Street while the work is being completed. Detour signs will be posted, and travelers in the area are encouraged to select an alternate route or to prepare for potential traffic delays. The road will be open to local traffic only.
