The weather is expected to be perfect for the City of Thomasville’s First Friday Sip & Shop on June 7 from 5-10 PM. Extended dining and shopping hours and live music are sure to entertain the whole family.
“School is out for the summer, and if you’re looking for the perfect, free event for the family to do, visit downtown on a First Friday,” said Main Street Director Brandy Avery. “Each month, Downtown Thomasville has a great range of concerts, shopping, and dining options while you sip and stroll that are sure to be a summer favorite!”
Grab a bite to eat from participating food trucks including Mi Jefas Tacos Y Cantina with a variety of Hispanic dishes; Foodie Pops serving gourmet popsicles; and A Taste of Heaven BBQ offering BBQ ribs, pulled pork, and your favorite summertime side items. They will be located at The Ritz Amphitheater from 6-10 PM.
This month’s free concert will feature music by Flintlock Annie, a country Americana sound weighted with grungy undertones. Dynamic pedal steel guitar, soulful female vocals & rock-infused male vocals combine to create a seductive chemistry of sound that drives their music from 7-9 PM at The Ritz Amphitheater.
“Supporting local businesses is the backbone of our economy here,” said Tourism Manager Mary Patchunka-Smith. “Between the special discounts, extended dining and shopping hours, and local food vendors, our First Friday events help the community in so many ways.”
