CSX Transportation has notified the City of Thomasville that CSX contractors are scheduled to begin repairing paving at the railroad tracks at 900 Oak Street and West Walcott Street. The work is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at approximately 7:00 a.m. and is expected to last one day.
There will be temporary road closures along portions of Oak Street and West Walcott Street, near the work zone, while the work is being completed. Detour signs will be posted to direct traffic around the work zone. Travelers in the area are encouraged to select an alternate route or to be prepared for some travel delays.
