The City of Thomasville administrative offices will be closed Monday, January 1 in observance of New Year’s Day. Due to the holiday observance, some City services will be affected. City services’ schedules are as follows:
Utilities Response Center
Regular 24-hour operational schedule. They can be reached by calling 229-227-5499.
Residential for City of Thomasville, Thomas County, and Commercial Refuse
The City of Thomasville Solid Waste Department will be closed on New Year's Day. Monday’s route will be serviced on Tuesday and schedules will continue as normal for the rest of the week. Customers are encouraged to place containers at curbside by 7:00 a.m. to avoid a lapse in service.
Landfill
The Landfill will be closed on New Year's Day and will reopen on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at 7:00 a.m.
Country Oaks Golf Course
Country Oaks will be open for normal operating hours on Monday, January 1. Tee times are required. Schedule tee times online at CountryOaksGolfCourse.org or by calling 229-225-4333.
Municipal Airport
The Municipal Airport will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 1.
