City of Thomasville will have a contractor installing storm drainage pipes, water mains and water service lines along Palmetto Drive between Edgewood Drive and Glenwood Drive starting March 11, 2024. In order for crews to install storm drainage pipes, water mains and water service lines on Palmetto Drive between Edgewood Drive and Glenwood Drive will be temporarily closed to thru traffic in the work zone starting at 7 am EST on March 11. CITY OF THOMASVILLE S&P GLOBAL RATING UPGRADED TO AN A+

City Manager Alan Carson has announced that the City of Thomasville was notified last week of an increase to the City’s credit rating. Standard & Poors Global Ratings (S&P) raised its issuer credit rating (ICR) for the City of Thomasville from an “A positive” to an “A+ stable”. FEBRUARY 22 THOMASVILLE SHOOTING INVESTIGATION

On February 22, 2024, at approximately 11:34 PM, the Thomasville Police Department responded to the 100 block of Persimmon Street in reference to a large unruly crowd. It was reported that a fight broke out among the crowd and two (2) people were shot prior to the police arriving on scene.
