City of Thomasville Utility crews will begin work along Remington Avenue beginning Monday, October 5th. Crews will be repairing a wastewater main between Stevens Street and Madison Avenue. LANDFILL EXPANSION NEARS COMPLETION

An expansion of the Thomasville/Thomas County Municipal Solid Waste Landfill is nearing completion at the nearly 600-acre land parcel. The City of Thomasville has announced changes to the City’s recycling center hours. Effective immediately, the Recycling Center located in the 1200 block of Remington Avenue behind Fire Rescue Station Three will operate from 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday and 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
