The City of Thomasville Public Works department was recently nominated for, and won, the 2019 Region Four Golden Backhoe Award. CITY OF THOMASVILLE WANTS YOUR HELP NAMING DOG DECOYS AT CHEROKEE LAKE

Cherokee Lake Park is a great park for picnics, exercise, and playtime. It is also a great time to enjoy nature, including geese that are fond of the park. However, the geese can also be a nuisance from time to time. LANE CLOSURE SCHEDULED FOR NORTH SIDE OF WEST JACKSON STREET BETWEEN STEVENS STREET AND REMINGTON AVENUE

Construction has begun on the north side (outbound lane) of the 300 block of West Jackson Street. The north side of West Jackson Street will be closed from North Stevens Street to Lee Street while pedestrian crossings and sidewalks are being installed. THOMASVILLE FIRE RESCUE HOSTS OPEN HOUSE AT RECENTLY RENOVATED STATION TWO

Thomasville Fire Rescue recently announced the completion of renovations to Station Two, located at 1750 South Pinetree Boulevard. To celebrate the newly renovated facility, TFR will be hosting an Open House for the community on October 17th from 5:30 – 8:00 pm. The City of Thomasville has been notified that the grant application that was submitted to the Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA) for a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) will not be funded this year.
