LESTER STREET REPAIR RESCHEDULED

Work that was expected to begin this week on Fletcher Street has been rescheduled to begin next week. The work is part of a greater project that will improve water and wastewater infrastructure in the Fletcherville community. Beginning November 28th, motorists traveling Remington Avenue between West Jackson Street and Fletcher Street should exercise extreme caution as construction crews will be milling the existing pavement in preparation for resurfacing to begin on Monday, December 03, 2018. The City of Thomasville has announced upcoming utility work that will impact travelers along Fleming Street next week. Fleming, between West Jackson Street and Campbell Street, will be closed to thru traffic for utility work beginning Wednesday, November 28, 2018, through Thursday, November 29th. TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF WASHINGTON STREET

A portion of Washington Street will be temporarily closed to install a wastewater tap next Saturday, August 18, 2018. The area of East Washington Street between North Broad Street and North Crawford Street will be closed to thru traffic beginning at 7 a.m. on August 18th. During construction, traffic will be detoured around East Washington Street via East Jefferson Street. Work is expected to be completed and the roadway reopened by 5 p.m. the same day.



TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF WEST JACKSON STREET

Beginning Monday, January 30, 2017, the City of Thomasville will begin repairing the brick pavers on West Jackson Street from South Madison to Remington Avenue.
