CONSTRUCTION TO BEGIN AT CHEROKEE LAKE

Construction is set to begin next month at Cherokee Lake Park. The project, which was started last summer, will include repairs to the spillway dam and a widened trail on the west side, among other repairs and enhancements. ARCHEOLOGICAL STUDY DELIVERS POW SITE ARTIFACTS

An archeological dig that was completed in 2016 at the 1864 Civil War Prison Site has yielded results.
