REMINGTON AVENUE DETOUR

Remington Avenue at Stevens Street will be closed to all traffic on June 22 for water infrastructure improvements. Work is expected to be completed by day's end. Citizens are advised to expect delays when traveling through the area and to plan alternate routes.



GEORGIA DCA AWARDS HALF A MILLION DOLLARS TO THOMASVILLE

The Georgia Department of Community Affairs has awarded $612,000 in grant-funding to Thomasville in order to build new, single family homes and help homeowners rehabilitate existing homes. JACKSON STREET/STEVENS STREET INTERSECTION CLOSED TO THRU TRAFFIC BEGINNING JUNE 7

The Jackson Street-Stevens Street intersection will be closed to thru-traffic beginning June 7; however, inclement weather may delay the start of construction. Work is expected to be completed by the end of the week and will be performed at night, from 7:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m., in order to minimize traffic disruptions. WEST POINT CADETS VISIT THOMASVILLE

Eight cadets from the United States Military Academy at West Point will soon pay a visit to Thomasville to learn more about one of their own. CITY MAKES TRAFFIC IMPROVEMENTS

Beginning this week, citizens traveling the stretch of Hansell Street between Smith Avenue and Broad Street will notice a new addition to their commute: a new traffic signal.
