The City of Thomasville First Friday concert series continues Friday, August 2nd from 6:00-10:00 PM in downtown Thomasville. This month’s theme is “Summertime Brews” and features the lively musical talents of local artists, Bleu Burden.
Celebrate the “Summertime Brews” theme by stopping by one of the many participating downtown merchants to grab a drink in your Sip & Stroll cup, along with a wristband. You can swing by Liam’s to enjoy one of the twelve craft brews they have on tap and then make your way to Farmer’s Daughter to try their new Island Mule concoction that fits perfectly with summertime. Don’t forget to take advantage of extended retail store hours this First Friday to shop while you sip and stroll.
Continue the fun evening by walking to The Ritz Amphitheater to listen to Bleu Burden play from 8:00-10:00 PM. Bleu Burden’s band originated on a front porch in Thomasville, Ga. They play a wide variety of your favorite classic rock, pop, funk, and country hits with powerful vocals, dynamic harmonica, and a funky rhythm section.
“We are in the dog days of summer where every day is hot,” says Madison Eaton, City of Thomasville’s event coordinator. “We invite everyone to come to downtown Thomasville to beat the heat together and celebrate the end of summer break by grabbing a drink and listening to a local favorite, Bleu Burden! It’s the perfect kickoff to school starting soon and it brings the community together for summertime fun.”
First Friday Sip and Stroll events run March through December and are free and open to the public. Bleu Burden headlines at The Ritz Amphitheater 8:00-10:00 p.m. For more information, visit www.thomasvillega.com or call the Thomasville Visitors Center at 229-228-7977.
