The Georgia Department of Community Affairs has awarded $612,000 in grant-funding to Thomasville in order to build new, single family homes and help homeowners rehabilitate existing homes. Beginning this week, citizens traveling the stretch of Hansell Street between Smith Avenue and Broad Street will notice a new addition to their commute: a new traffic signal.
