The City of Thomasville invites the community to attend a free workshop focused on simple, effective strategies to manage stormwater and reduce pollution in your own yard. The workshop will cover key techniques, including what to look for, how to prepare, and how to design your own rain garden or install a rain barrel.

Jessica Brown, Stormwater Specialist from the Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant Office at the University of Georgia, will conduct the workshops on October 10 at 6 pm and October 11 at 10 am at the Thomasville Municipal Building Reception Room, 144 East Jackson Street.

Both events are free and open to the public. Participants will leave with practical knowledge to help minimize runoff and prevent pollutants from entering local waterways.

For more information, call the City of Thomasville at (229) 227-7001.
