City of Thomasville contractors are scheduled to begin installing erosion control measures on Cairo Road at the Oquina Creek crossing. The work is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at approximately 8:00 AM and is expected to last one day.
There will be a temporary lane closure of the eastbound lane of Cairo Road at the Oquina Creek crossing while the work is completed. Flaggers will be on site directing traffic, and travelers in the area are encouraged to select an alternate route or to be prepared for potential travel delays.
