TFR First Responders Receive Equipment Grant from Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation

Posted on

Thomasville Fire Rescue recently received a $28,169 grant from Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation® to ensure our first responders have the necessary equipment to keep community members and themselves safe. The grant will be used to purchase new thermal imaging cameras, allowing our department, in the heat of the battle, see through smoke and monitor the fire's spread, so you can quickly visualize your plan of attack, locate hot spots, and save lives.

“We are grateful to the Foundation and our local Firehouse Subs in Thomasville for awarding us this grant,” said Tim Connell, Chief, Thomasville Fire Rescue. “The new thermal imaging cameras will fulfill a critical need within our department and allow our first responders to better help the people of Thomasville during emergency situations.
