PUBLIC LISTENING SESSIONS SET FOR SOUTH PINETREE

Posted on

The City of Thomasville is hosting two additional public listening sessions for our community to provide input regarding proposed improvements for South Pinetree Boulevard. The sessions will be held on Monday, August 6th at 12:00 noon and Tuesday, August 7th at 6:00 p.m. Both sessions will be held in Council Chambers, located inside the Municipal Building, 144 East Jackson Street.

“Our Council feels that additional opportunities for public input are important,” said Kha McDonald, Interim City Manager. “We’ve scheduled these sessions to make it as convenient as possible for our citizens to have the opportunity to attend and share their opinions. Whether you bring your lunch and join us on Monday, August 6th or attend the evening session on Tuesday, August 7th, we hope that anyone who lives along this area or travels this corridor will come together and see the proposed designs.”

In addition to sharing the proposed designs for the area, the listening session will also allow residents to weigh in on various topics that will provide information that could help guide the decision making process. “The City has invested in audience response software that allows citizens to provide immediate feedback to multiple choice questions,” McDonald said. “It’s a great asset to help collect real-time data that will help shape the discussion on this important corridor.”
