DOWNTOWN THOMASVILLE CREATES SUMMER LOYALTY CARD TO ENCOURAGE SHOPPING LOCAL

The Office of Downtown and Tourism Development has created a summer loyalty spending card to encourage community members and visitors to shop locally. The summer months can be a slower season for tourism and retail. TEMPORARY LANE CLOSURE FOR WEST JACKSON STREET

Contractors will begin work along the south side lane of West Jackson Street beginning Wednesday, June 15, 2022 to install a new driveway at 1171 West Jackson Street. The work is scheduled to occur between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. and expected to last one day. There will be a lane closure while the work is being completed. JUNETEENTH HOLIDAY CITY SERVICES SCHEDULE

The City of Thomasville administrative offices will be closed Monday, June 20, 2022, in observance of the Juneteenth holiday. Due to the holiday observance, some City services will be affected. A grant from the Williams Family Foundation was implemented this week through the purchase and installation of 24 historic plaques in the 200 block of West Jackson Street.
