CITY OF THOMASVILLE RECEIVES CDBG GRANT TO SUPPORT DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SHELTER

The City of Thomasville has received a 2026 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) in the amount of $ million from the Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA), which administers the program on behalf of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Thomasville was one of 42 Georgia communities awarded funding this year. After careful consideration of program costs, market conditions, and long-term sustainability, the City of Thomasville will close its Self Drop-Off Recycling Center, located in the 1300 block of Remington Avenue, effective October 31.
