CITY OF THOMASVILLE HOSTS EASTER EGGSTRAVAGANZA Article PhotoThe City of Thomasville’s Community Relations team expects hundreds of children to pack Paradise Park for the annual Easter Eggstravaganza to be held on Saturday, April 8th from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

“There’s never a shortage of fun at the City’s annual Easter Eggstravaganza event,” said Major Eric Hampton of the Thomasville Police Department. “The City’s Community Relations team has a great time getting to know kids while we’re playing games and having fun in the park.”

This year’s activities will include a rock climbing wall, inflatable football, bounce houses, soda toss, face painting and much more. Participants will also have the opportunity to have their photo taken with the Easter Bunny. The main event, however, is the annual Easter egg hunt.

“We will have about 5000 Easter eggs for kids to hunt this year,” said Hampton. “We will separate the activity into age groups so there is plenty of fun for all. Plus, six lucky kids will find special eggs with twenty-five dollar gift cards in them.”

Hampton said that this year, all events will be free to the public. “There will be a small charge for hotdog combos, snow cones and cotton candy, but all proceeds will help support the Thomasville Police Department’s various youth programs,” he said.

“This is a great family-oriented, annual community event,” Hampton said. “Paradise Park will be filled with fun for all ages!”
