The City of Thomasville is excited to announce the 2026 First Friday Concert Series, returning to Downtown Thomasville beginning in March with another season of free live music at The Ritz Amphitheater.
The series kicks off on Friday, March 6, with local favorite Blue Burden headlining the opening concert. Known for their southern soul and strong hometown following, Blue Burden sets the tone for a diverse lineup featuring local, regional, and nationally recognized artists throughout the year.
The 2026 First Friday concert lineup includes:
· March 6 – Blue Burden
· April 2 – Macon Music Revue
· May 1 – Michael Miller Band
· June 5 – Mac Arnold & Plate Full O’ Blues
· August 7 – King of Hearts
· September 4 – Far 2 Fresh
· October 2 – The Grass Is Dead
· November 6 – Billy Smith Band
· December 4 – Mixtape – 80’s Tribute Band
The City of Thomasville relies on recommendations from the community to select First Friday bands and received more than 150 band submissions through its website to create the 2026 lineup.
“First Friday continues to be one of our most popular community events,” said Brandy Avery, City of Thomasville Community Engagement Manager. “The 2026 lineup brings an exciting mix of blues, rock, jam bands, and tribute acts that we know our community will enjoy.”
First Friday concerts run from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. at The Ritz Amphitheater, with food trucks on-site offering a variety of options. Concerts are family-friendly and open to all ages. Bring your lounge chairs and blankets, settle in, and enjoy the tunes.
First Friday concerts are free and open to the public and provide a vibrant gathering space for residents and visitors alike to enjoy live music in the heart of Downtown Thomasville.
