PUBLIC LISTENING SESSION SET FOR SOUTH PINETREE

Posted on

The City of Thomasville is hosting a public listening session for residents along South Pinetree Boulevard to come and give their thoughts on proposed improvements for the area. The session will be held on Monday, April 30th at 6:30. The purpose is to allow residents to learn more about the project and provide feedback on proposed designs.

"There has been a great deal of discussion about the proposed improvements to this area of South Pinetree Boulevard that stretches from West Jackson Street to Magnolia Street," said Lauren Radford, Director of Public Engagement and Outreach. "We wanted to provide an opportunity that would allow those who live along this area and regularly travel this corridor to come together and see the proposed designs."

Radford said that along with sharing the proposed designs for the area, the listening session will also allow residents to weigh in on various topics that will provide information that could help guide the decision making process. "The City has invested in audience response software that allows citizens to provide immediate feedback to multiple choice questions," she said. "It’s a great asset to help collect real-time data that will help shape the discussion on this important corridor."

The event will be held at the Thomasville Community Resource Center, 501 Varnedoe Street. For additional information, contact Radford at 229-227-4015.
