Travelers in the Gordon Avenue area between Mimosa Drive and Archbold Avenue are advised to use caution and expect detours on Tuesday, March 26.
City of Thomasville Utilities will be replacing wastewater service lines on Gordon Avenue between Mimosa Drive and Archbold Avenue beginning at 7:00 am until approximately 5:00 pm on March 26.
“We understand this work may impact Archbold Hospital and inconvenience patients for doctor’s offices in the area,” said Wayne Newsome, City Engineer. “While through traffic will be detoured onto adjacent streets, local access to offices as well as the hospital, will still be provided. Parking for Thomas Drug Store will be accessible; however customers will have to detour around the block if headed southbound on Gordon Avenue. The entrance to Archbold Memorial Hospital will also be accessible via a detoured route.”
