As part of the Remington Avenue Water Main Extension Project, City of Thomasville contractors are scheduled to begin installing a water line along Remington Avenue between the YMCA driveway and East Pinetree Boulevard. The work is scheduled to begin on Monday, July 20, 2026, at approximately 8:00 AM and is expected to last one week.
There will be a temporary lane closure on Remington Avenue between the YMCA driveway and East Pinetree Boulevard while the work is being completed. Construction signs will be posted, and lane closure will be marked. Travelers are advised that Remington Avenue, from the roundabout to East Pinetree Boulevard, remains an active construction zone. Motorists are encouraged to select an alternate route or to prepare for potential traffic delays.
