City of Thomasville Electric Department and contractors are scheduled to begin removing a tree in the public right-of-way and upgrading electric poles on Bartow Street between Jackson Street and Wright Street. The work is scheduled to begin on Friday, July 17, 2026, at approximately 8:00 AM and is expected to last eight hours.
There will be a temporary road closure on Bartow Street between Jackson Street and Wright Street while the work is being completed. Detour signs will be posted, and travelers in the area are encouraged to select an alternate route or prepare for potential traffic delays. The road will be open to local traffic.
