City of Thomasville Utility crews are scheduled to begin work on replacing a fire hydrant along Remington Avenue between Dawson Street and South Love Street beginning Tuesday, June 8th. The work is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. and is expected to last four hours.
There will be a temporary road closure on Remington Avenue allowing local traffic only while the work is being completed. The access road to the Marriot Hotel along Dawson Street and McLean Avenue will remain open to traffic. Travelers in the area are encouraged to select an alternate route and to be aware of potential traffic delays while using the detour.
