The City of Thomasville Electric Department is scheduled to be begin upgrades to electric poles on South Dawson Street between McLean Avenue and Smith Avenue and between Smith Avenue and Hutch Way. The work is scheduled to begin on Monday, June 22, 2026, at approximately 8:00 AM and is expected to last four days.
There will be a temporary road closure on South Dawson Street between McLean Avenue and Smith Avenue and between Smith Avenue and Hutch Way while the work is being completed. Detour signs will be posted, and travelers in the area are encouraged to select an alternate route or to prepare for potential traffic delays.
