City of Thomasville Wastewater department crews are scheduled to begin replacing a wastewater main on Vine Street between Chestnut Street and North Short Broad Street The work is scheduled to begin on January 26, 2026, at approximately 8:00 AM and is expected to last three weeks.
There will be a temporary road closure to thru traffic on Vine Street between Chestnut Street and North Short Broad Street while the work is being completed. Detour signs will be posted, and travelers in the area are encouraged to select an alternate route or to prepare for potential traffic delays. The road will be open to local traffic.
