City of Thomasville crews are scheduled to begin work on a natural gas main relocation along Dawson Street between Smith Avenue and McClean Avenue beginning Tuesday, June 1st. The work is scheduled to take place between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. and is expected to last two days.
There will be a temporary road closure on Dawson Street allowing local traffic only while the work is being completed. The access road to the Marriot Hotel along Dawson Street will remain open to traffic. Travelers in the area are encouraged to select an alternate route and to be aware of potential traffic delays while using the detour.
