Roses, concerts, fireworks, and more are all waiting for you at the 102nd Annual Thomasville Rose Show & Festival from April 28-29. This community-loved event is packed with experiences the whole family can enjoy, and applications are now available for food and artisan market vendors and parade entries.

The Rose Parade will be held April 28 at 7:00 pm, with a $300 prize provided to the best overall parade entry. A special King’s Award of $200 will be awarded for the best use of theme and a $200 Rose Bud Award will be given for the best children’s entry.

“We hope this year’s theme of Where Roses Reign…Imagination Blooms provides a creative outlet for anyone interested in being a part of this year’s parade,” said Nicole Willers, City of Thomasville’s Special Events Manager. “Use the theme to bring your favorite Rose Show traditions to life in a re-imagined, creative way.”

Applications are also currently being accepted for food and artisan vendors at this year’s Rose Fest Market. Held April 29 from 11 am-5 pm, this event features handcrafted artisans and makers, food trucks, music, children’s activities, and fun throughout the afternoon.

The beloved traditional events of the Rose Show & Festival, including multiple rose and flower shows, the Show & Shine Car & Truck Show and the Street Dance, will all be returning for this two-day event in the heart of Thomasville. Other ways to enjoy the rose-themed festivities include historic tours at Thomasville’s local museums and a visit to the Thomasville Rose Garden.

“Plan an entire weekend with us to experience everything Thomasville has to offer,” noted Willers. “The Rose Festival is the perfect time to experience Thomasville’s history and beauty on full display.”

Parade and vendor applications can be found online by visiting thomasvillega.com/rose and a full itinerary of events will be posted soon. For additional information, contact the Thomasville Visitors Center at (229) 228-7977.
