CITY OF THOMASVILLE CELEBRATES PUBLIC POWER WEEK, NATIONAL PUBLIC NATURAL GAS WEEK, AND NATIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE WEEK

The City of Thomasville observed Public Power Week, National Public Natural Gas Week and National Customer Service Week October 1-7, 2017. TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE - GORDON AVENUE

Beginning Wednesday evening, October 4, 2017, the City of Thomasville’s Water Department will temporarily close the 500 block of Gordon Avenue, between West Hansell St. and West Loomis Street. This closure for thru traffic is to repair a leaking water service line. Northbound traffic on Gordon Avenue will be detoured at West Loomis Street, and southbound traffic on Gordon Avenue will be detoured at West Hansell Street. BUDGET BILLING ENROLLMENT PERIOD NOW OPEN

The City of Thomasville is now accepting applications for the Budget Billing Program. The Budget Billing Program gives utilities customers an additional way to help manage their winter budgets, with payment options that can be helpful when excessive temperatures may cause increased monthly utility usage. CITY OBSERVES CONSTITUTION WEEK

Thomasville Mayor Greg Hobbs recently awarded a signed proclamation to Deb Phillips, Regent for the Thomasville Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, in honor of Constitution Week, September 17-23. Constitution Week is recognized annually to celebrate the framing of the drafting of the Constitution of the United States of America by the Constitutional Convention. Hurricane Irma left more than thousands without power in Thomasville; she also left fallen trees, broken limbs and other debris.
