As part of the Remington Avenue Water Main Extension Project, City of Thomasville contractors are scheduled to begin installing new water infrastructure between East Pinetree Boulevard and U.S. Route 19 (US 19). The work is scheduled to begin on Monday, August 17, 2026, at approximately 8:00 AM and is expected to last three days.
There will be a temporary road closure on Remington Avenue between East Pinetree Boulevard and U.S. Route 19 (US 19) while the work is being completed. Travelers in the area are advised to follow all posted detours, refrain from using commercial parking lots as alternate routes, and plan accordingly by selecting an alternate route or preparing for potential traffic delays.
