City of Thomasville Water Department staff is repairing a water main break on East Jackson Street near the YMCA. The work will be completed as soon as possible.
There will be an emergency temporary road closure on East Jackson Street between Dawson Street and Seward Street. If you are traveling into town from the North, you will be redirected to Seward Street and then onto Remington Avenue. Detour signs will be posted. If you are coming from the South, you'll be routed onto Dawson Street, then Remington Avenue, and finally Seward Street. Travelers in the area are advised to choose alternate routes or to expect some delays. The road will be open to local traffic.
Please use additional caution while traveling in and around this area as there is still ice and snow on roads.
