The City of Thomasville Water Department staff has successfully repaired the water main break on East Jackson Street near the YMCA. The area will now be patched and resurfaced, with the work expected to be completed as soon as possible.
To facilitate this road work, East Jackson Street will be temporarily closed between Dawson Street and Seward Street. If you are traveling into town from the north, you will be redirected to Seward Street and then onto Remington Avenue. Detour signs will be posted to guide drivers. For those coming from the south, you will be routed onto Dawson Street, followed by Remington Avenue, and then Seward Street. Travelers in the area are advised to seek alternate routes or anticipate some delays. Local traffic will still have access to the road.
