As part of the Remington Avenue Streetscape Project, City of Thomasville contractors are scheduled to begin street improvement work along Remington Avenue between East Pinetree Boulevard and Clanton Street. The work is scheduled to begin on Friday, March 27, 2026, at approximately 8:00 a.m. and is expected to last two months.
There will be an extended road closure along Remington Avenue between East Pinetree Boulevard and Clanton Street while the work is being completed. The west side of the intersection at Remington Avenue and East Pinetree Boulevard will be completely closed during this work. Local traffic access will only be available at the intersection of Remington Avenue and Clanton Street. Detour signs will be posted, and travelers in the area are encouraged to select an alternate route or to prepare for potential traffic delays.
