As part of the Remington Streetscape Project, City of Thomasville contractors are scheduled to begin replacing a sewer main on Remington Avenue between Royal Avenue and Kings Drive. This work is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at approximately 8:00 AM and is expected to last three (3) days.
There will be a temporary road closure on Remington Avenue between Covington Avenue and Clanton Street while the work is being completed. Detour signs will be posted, and travelers in the area are encouraged to select an alternate route or to prepare for potential traffic delays. The road will be open to local traffic only.
