Local Scouts Emmett Miles (left), Nathan Yokley (middle) and Vincent Yokley (right) attended Monday night’s City Council meeting, where they received a warm welcome from the Mayor and the other councilmembers. The Scouts, members of Troop 306, received words of support and encouragement from the councilmembers, as they strive to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout.
Throughout the year, Boy Scouts attend City Council meetings in order to satisfy requirements for the various merit badges they are attempting to earn. Vincent and Nathan attended the meeting to earn their Communications merit badge. Emmett attended in order to earn his Citizenship in the Community badge.
