Retired Educators Day recognizes the lasting contributions of our retired educators to the educational development of our children. There are more than 122,629 retired educators in the state of Georgia, of which 28,000 are a part of the Georgia Retired Educators Association (GREA). Several retired educators reside in the City of Thomasville and contribute thousands of hours to volunteer service. Their dedication to education and the community are invaluable.
