CITY RECOVERS FROM HURRICANE MICHAEL

Hurricane Michael may not have passed directly through Thomasville, but the high winds surrounding the storm were enough to cause significant damage to the community. Numerous trees are down throughout the city and many roads are impassable. We have been monitoring the path of Hurricane Michael and the potential effects on our community. Based on the storm’s trajectory, we anticipate heavy winds and rains throughout the night and early morning hours. In the interest of safety, we will remain closed until Friday, October 12th. City of Thomasville staff members are to report for work on Friday at their regularly scheduled time unless otherwise instructed by their supervisors.
