City of Thomasville Utility crews will begin work along Dawson Street beginning Monday, October 5th. Crews will be working on a water service connection between Remington Avenue and McClean Avenue. The work is scheduled to occur between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. and is expected to last approximately two weeks. LANDFILL EXPANSION NEARS COMPLETION

An expansion of the Thomasville/Thomas County Municipal Solid Waste Landfill is nearing completion at the nearly 600-acre land parcel. The City of Thomasville has announced changes to the City’s recycling center hours. Effective immediately, the Recycling Center located in the 1200 block of Remington Avenue behind Fire Rescue Station Three will operate from 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday and 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
