CITY URGES COMMUNITY TO COMPLETE STORM PREPARATIONS

Hurricane Irma is now tracking further to the west, which has increased the likelihood that Thomasville will experience tropical storm and hurricane conditions. As of Saturday morning, the National Weather Service issued a hurricane watch for Thomas and surrounding counties. CITY OF THOMASVILLE OFFICES CLOSED MONDAY DUE TO HURRICANE IRMA

Due to inclement weather that is expected from Hurricane Irma, the City of Thomasville administrative offices will be closed on Monday, September 11, 2017. This closing will impact all administration and non-operational staff. Utility staff and public safety will continue to be operational. Hurricane Irma is proving to be very difficult to predict in regards to the impact expected for southwest Georgia.
