TEMPORARY EMERGENCY ROAD CLOSURE GLENWOOD DRIVE BETWEEN JOREE DRIVE AND ORIOLE DRIVE

There is a temporary emergency road closure on Glenwood Drive between Joree Drive and Oriole Drive for road repairs starting at 4 pm today for approximately one (1) hour. Detour signs will be posted in the work zone area, and travelers in the area are encouraged to select an alternate route or to prepare for potential traffic delays. THOMASVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT INVESTIGATES JUVENILE IN POSSESSION OF A FIREARM ON SCHOOL CAMPUS

On Thursday, September 5, 2024, at approximately 1:45 pm, school officials at MacIntyre Park Middle School alerted the school resource officer on campus that there was a student in possession of a firearm. The student was immediately detained, and the gun was secured.
