TPD K-9 UNIT WINS AWARDS AT K-9 TRIALS

The Thomasville Police Department’s K-9 unit has recently returned from the United States Police Canine Association (USCPA) annual K9 Competition and Certifications, where TPD earned high marks in all phases of competition. The event, held February 20-24, in Brandon, Mississippi (Region 26) included events in areas such as Obedience, Agility, Narcotics Detection, and Criminal Apprehension. ROAD CLOSURE FOR REMINGTON AVE.

City of Thomasville Utility crews will begin work along Remington Avenue on Sunday, March 8th. Crews will be repairing a wastewater line near 500 Remington Avenue. The work is scheduled to take place between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m, and is expected to last approximately 2-3 days. TFR HOSTS STRUCTURAL FIRE CONTROL TRAINING

Thomasville Fire Rescue, in conjunction with the Georgia Fire Academy, located in Forsyth, GA., hosted a Structural Fire Control Training (SFC), February 18th – 19th at Fire Station #2.
