CITY RECEIVES $750,000 GRANT FOR INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENT

During last week’s fall conference for the Georgia Department of Community Affairs (GDCA), the City of Thomasville was officially recognized as one of 60 Georgia communities to receive a combined total of more than $40 million in federal assistance to help grow their local economies. WATER/WASTEWATER IMPROVEMENTS TO BEGIN ON SOUTH PINETREE

The City of Thomasville will soon begin construction for a water and wastewater improvement project along a portion of South Pinetree Boulevard. Improvements will begin October 22nd and will include South Pinetree Boulevard from West Jackson Street to Magnolia Street. FRAUDULENT FIREFIGHTER SUPPORT FUND SOLICITING DONATIONS

The City of Thomasville’s Fire Rescue Department has been alerted by the Georgia Association of Fire Chiefs of a fraudulent group that claims to be trying to solicit funds on behalf of the fire service. Hurricane Michael may not have passed directly through Thomasville, but the high winds surrounding the storm were enough to cause significant damage to the community.
