In preparation for upcoming resurfacing projects, City of Thomasville contractors will begin upgrading the utilities along several streets including:
- Fern Street (From Fletcher Street to Magnolia Avenue)
- Railroad Avenue and Mulberry Street (From Jones Street to Fletcher Street)
- Peach Street (From South Street to Orange Street)
- South Stevens Street (From Wright Street to Fletcher Street)
The utility work is anticipated to be completed in August. There will be temporary lane closures while the work is underway; however, the roadways will remain open to local traffic. Travelers in the area are encouraged to select an alternate route or to prepare for potential traffic delays.
